The Lone Star State could one day be the lone state without sportsbook betting, although there is some inkling that some movement in the direction of legal betting might take place in 2023. Texas would be a desirable state for any sportsbook operator, in-person, online, Pony Express or other type of wagering. It may take several years or more for outside investment and lobbying to move Texas toward legalization, but the current consensus in the state seems to be that gambling is a sin, as are any other forms of fun.
