Indiana state law permits online sportsbook betting. It became available in early October of 2019; about a month after in-person betting was rolled out. Those debuts were less than six months after the law was signed into effect. Indiana regulations provide for up to 40 sportsbook operations in the state. As of late 2022, it appears that 14 are operating. The state has a good population, though, making it attractive to sportsbooks and it is entirely possible to speculate that Indiana had to get in the action or accept neighboring Illinois or Michigan stealing all the Indiana punters.
