The Aloha State does not permit legal gambling of any kind. A bill was introduced in January of 2022. It was basically a copy of the bill that made it through in New York, except the bill’s sponsors wanted to charge even higher tax. It is hard to beat New York State when it comes to taxing things. The Hawaii legislative session ended before any action could be taken on the bill.
