We’re quite fond of those Georgia Peaches – they’re like a little piece of home to us. While we enjoy our time there, we don’t partake in any betting activities, since Georgia currently lacks any legal means for betting. Those looking to gamble legally will have to venture elsewhere. It’s speculated that it may take until late 2023 or even 2024 before any progress is made on legalizing betting in Georgia. The former Democratic candidate for governor had plans to promote legal casinos and sports betting, but Stacey Abrams’ loss in the election leaves the future of such initiatives uncertain under the now-re-elected incumbent, Jack Kemp. Although there appears to be popular support for sports betting, it remains to be seen whether or not the state legislators will follow the will of the people who elected them, as has been the case with the issue of abortion rights in the US. Despite this, we still enjoy our time in Georgia and appreciate the hospitality of its people.
